You need someone to do it for you – it’s not a do-it-yourself project.

You’ll need 2 antennas with almost unattainable gain. If you can find some old 12-foot satellite dishes they can be adapted. A 20db array in each one as the active element should give you enough gain – *IF* the antennas can see each other. (I’m giving you this information to pass on to the person you hire.)

You’ll need 2 routers, set as bidirectional repeaters. Keep the routers near the antennas (1 or 2 feet at the most) and use at least 1/2″ nitrogen-filled hardline – you don’t have any signal to waste.

(Or you could do a web search for the guys in South America who ran a 30 mile wifi link and hire them to do it for you.) This is not off-the-shelf technology – it’s doable, but only by someone who knows what h e’s doing. Wifi is designed for a range in tens of meters, not miles. You’re trying to do 600kph in an old, tired VW bus with a blown engine. (But some people don’t take “no” for an answer, and do what others say is impossible.)

No guarantee that, after you’ve done all this, it’ll work. This is not bleeding edge – it’s way past bleeding edge. STL links might be more tested technology, if you can adapt them to handle an internet signal, but there’s nothing you can just buy and install that will do it.

And check your local and national laws before you start – it might be illegal.

Think about it, if you were in business already, and owed A LOT of money, and could make it just “vanish” by selling the business to someone else (your brother, maybe?). then wouldn’t you do that every time a bill came in?

In my opinion the best place to rent a car is Budget. I get a huge discount if I use my bank discount code, the have “Fast Track”, which means all I do is enter all my information (DL, Card Info) on line and when I get to the counter I just pick up the keys and go.

Also they are the only Rental Car Company that does not require you to have an actual Credit Card. You can use a debit card to hold, rent and pay the rental car with. Other companies accept debit cards only for payment but to actually drive off the lot with a rental you must have a credit card not a debit.

Most rental places don’t allow people under 25 to rent vehicles so your out of luck. Best bet is to find someone you know that has that vehicle and borrow it for the night.
